Vintage Ambrotype in Daguerreotype Case with Moth Wing
This piece was created in an empty antique 1/6 plate size ambrotype/daguerreotype case, likely from the mid to late 19th century. It contains a bautifully imperfect ambrotype of a woman and is arranged with moth wings in black with vibrant irridescent blue spots. Embedded within are dried dandelion leaves and queen anne’s lace flowers.
Several imperfections and normal wear and tear due to the age of the piece.
