Cecropia Moth Cocoon in Vintage Glass Vial
Cecropia moths are an impressively large silk moth. The cocoons are a casing of silk protecting and camouflaging pupa nestled inside. If you are careful, you can open up this cocoon and find the lovely pupa within.
The vial this cocoon rests in is a beautiful vintage glass vial with cork. I am unsure of what the labels mean and what they were used for. I’ve typically seen these labels on watchmaker’s vials but they are much smaller scale. The main label reads “50% Filled Mix”
Vial measures approximately 1.25” diameter and 4” tall.
