Dried Dittany of Crete Specimen in Vintage Lavender Apothecary Bottle
Suspended within a vintage glass apothecary jar is a lovely dried specimen of Dittany of Crete, grown in my own garden. I have attached a small handwritten label with the plant’s binomial species name Origanum dictamnus The cork has been topped with black wax and stamped with an antique printing press block.
This is a particularly special piece in this collection because it comes in a rare lavender vintage glass with a beautiful ornate mark, plenty of iridescent patina, and the specimen itself is a difficult one to obtain for growing.
Measures approximately 1.5” by 4.5”
